FOUR PROVEN TECHNOLOGIES:
- Ultrasonic Vibration
- Ion Care
- Photon LED therapy (Light Emitting Diode)
- Thermal Heat Therapy
How It Works:
1. Deep Cleanse and Exfoliation Mode. This setting lets you experience a gentle yet deep and squeaky clean through ion care while thermal heat therapy, ultrasonic vibrations, and red LED light therapy help break up dead skin cells and promote more oxygen in your skin for an immediately brighter, smoother, and tighter complexion.
2. Acne Care. Whether you have cystic, mild or hormonal acne issues, this setting should be in your routine. Blue LED light therapy has been clinically proven to kill p. Acnes bacteria that leads to acne formation. This mode also uses ultrasonic vibration and ions to help push your acne products deeper into the skin and break up dead skin cells that may be trapping oils.
3. Calming and Brightening. This setting is wonderful for individuals who suffer from hyperpigmentation and redness. Green LED light therapy has been shown to help fade dark spots, brighten skin, and reduce redness. Take advantage of the added ions and ultrasonic vibrations in this mode as well, and use a lightening product suggested for your skin type and speed up the results.
4. Skin Rejuvenation and Anti-aging. Take your serum and moisturizer to the next level with this setting. The combination of a red LED light therapy, ultrasonic vibrations, and ions will deeply infuse your skin care into the dermal layers for optimal nourishment. You will notice how plump and radiant your skin will look, and feel after the first treatment and see long-lasting results with continued use.
5. Multi-symptom Therapy. Most people have more than one skin issue. Do you have wrinkles, dark spots, and acne? No worries, we’ve got you! Use this setting that offers all three lights plus product infusion via ultrasonic vibration and ions.
6. Photosensitive and Ingredient Infusion. Not in the mood for a disco of lights tonight? Try this setting that offers a light-free option with ultrasonic vibration and ions to help you infuse your serum and moisturizers.
So, now that you can enjoy a quality, routine maintenance of your skin from the comfort and convenience of your home, are you ready to cleanse, exfoliate, nourish, and renew your skin daily using just one device?
FDA approved LED Light Therapy was developed by NASA in the 1980s to improve the healing of wounds and tissue growth in space.
Blue Light Is FDA Approved For The Treatment Of Mild To Moderate Acne. Blue Light Has Also Been Shown To Be Effective In The Treatment Of Psoriasis Vulgaris.
The Unit of Dermatology, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, Hammersmith Hospital, London (2000) finds the superior benefits of combined red and blue light therapy for Acne Vulgaris.
The International Center for Cosmetic Medicine in Australia (2007) finds the anti-aging and skin-rejuvenating benefits of red light therapy. At 12-week follow-up, 91% of subjects reported improved skin tone, and 82% reported enhanced smoothness of skin in the treatment area.”http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17760698
Light emitting diode (LED) technology uses 100% safe wavelengths of light to stimulate cells, increase circulation, and promote collagen growth. It has quickly become known as one of the most effective and non-invasive ways to aid in skin rejuvenation and repair. LED’s penetrate deep into the dermis layer of the skin, energizing the cells, stimulating collagen and elastin, giving the skin back its youthful look. If you have a series of treatments, in front of panels of this light source, you will have anti-aging results. Light Therapy could be included in a facial or as a separate treatment. Contact your favorite Spa or Dermatology office to see if LED Light Therapy is offered. Hand held devices are also available but they have less lights and it will take longer to get results.http://thebeautysmith.com/spa/led-light-therapy/
Red Light Therapy – Rejuvenating
Red light is good for all skin types. It rejuvenates the skin by improving blood flow and increasing collagen production. It doesn’t just leave the skin looking younger, but makes it feel younger deep down.
Green Light Therapy – Calming
Green light is found at the center of the visible spectrum, bringing balance and calm to the skin and reducing redness. The calming effect also has anti-inflammatory properties and can even help reduce hyper-pigmentation.
Blue & Violet Light Therapy – Relaxing & Purifying
The blue and violet wavelengths have powerful anti-bacterial properties that cleanse and purify the skin. They kill the acne-causing bacteria P. acne,
It has long been observed that sunlight has been known to improve acne. Although this is debatable, it was thought to be due to antibacterial effects of the ultraviolet spectrum which cannot be used as a treatment due to the likelihood of skin damage in the long term. It was discovered that some of the visible violet light present in sunlight (in the range 405-420 nm) activates a group of organic compounds in the bacterium called porphyrins which damage and ultimately kill the bacteria by releasing singlet oxygen very much like ozone used in a steam session during an esthetic treatment. This discovery ultimately led to the development of concentrated blue light both for in home use (hand held LED) and for in-patient procedures at a dermatology office.
The initial data had been very encouraging. In October 2002 the American Academy of Dermatology reported the following; “A low intensity blue light source (405 nm to 420 nm) has been studied for the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory acne. In the study, two 15-minute exposures a week for a period of four weeks produced a 60 percent reduction in acne in 80 percent of patients”.
Interestingly enough blue light without the use of levulinic acid has also been developed. Recent clinical papers suggest that the success rate was a more modest 30-40%. A study published in March 2009 by the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology entitled “the clinical efficacy of self applied blue light for mild-moderate acne” suggested that overall improvements on average showed a decrease of up to 40% in the number of lesions by day 28 of the treatment.
Light-emitting diode units are currently the most popular OTC devices for the treatment of acne. Blue light’s effectiveness for inflammatory acne may be related to its ability to activate endogenous porphyrins produced by Propionibacterium acnes, stimulating the formation of reactive oxygen species and ultimately resulting in bacterial cell death. The range of visible blue light used in these devices is generally 405 nm to 420 nm. Blue light may also be effective for acne due to its anti-inflammatory effects via reduction of interleukin-1 (IL-1; Shnitkind E, Yaping E, Geen S, et al. J Drug Dermatol. 2006;5(7):605-611).
Most efficacy data of home-use light devices is based on studies using the in-office versions. Blue light alone (BLU-U, DUSA) has been shown to be effective for treating inflammatory acne and less efficacious at reducing noninflammatory lesions (data accessed from www.clinicaltrials.gov).
OTC devices are safe to use and may afford reduction of inflammatory lesions. An effective total fluence may be difficult and time-consuming to achieve with lower-powered devices. Therefore, spot treatment is the most useful application of the current technology, as effective dosing can be achieved within a reasonable amount of time. http://dermatologytimes.modernmedicine.com/dermatology-times/news/modernmedicine/modern-medicine-now/home-use-acne-devices-offer-expanded-optio?page=full
Red Light (628 Nm To 635 Nm) Penetrates More Deeply Than Blue Light, Reaching The Sebaceous Glands, But It Is Not As Effective At Activating Porphyrins. Red Light’s Activity In Treating Acne Is Thought To Be Due To Its Anti-Inflammatory Properties, (Whelan HT, Buchmann EV, Dhokalia A, Et Al. J Clin Laser Med Surg. 2003; 21(2):67-74).
Home-use blue-light therapy found clinically effective for mild-to moderate acne. Blue light-emitting diode (LED) treatment that is scientifically and clinically proven to kill the P. acnes bacteria that causes mild-to-moderate acne. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22091799
“There’s really some science behind this. In multiple short-term studies, blue LED shows some improvement in acne because blue light is toxic to P. acnes,” Dr Gold. http://www.edermatologynews.com/specialty-focus/acne-rosacea/single-article-page/home-based-led-blue-light-gets-green-light/325c35c94e.html
Blue light appears to be a promising treatment modality in psoriasis vulgaris. The study showed a statistically significant improvement after 4 weeks of treatment. Accordingly, plaque status as assessed by both the physicians and the patients improved continuously during the 4 weeks of treatment and steadily declined thereafter. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22105015
Red light phototherapy alone is effective for acne vulgaris. The percent improvement in noninflammatory and inflammatory lesion counts of the treated side was significant compared to the control side http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17903156
Red LED is for plumping the skin. Even NASA has recognized that it is therapeutic for the skin and can help heal wounds. Of course, it’s a must year-round, but seems even more necessary in fall and spring when we want to help retain or jump-start collagen production. stimulating the body’s tissues to convert the light energy into cellular energy. Most researchers agree that light therapy increases production of ATP (the energy engine of cells) and the modulation of reactive oxygen. It may also work by targeting water layers on elastin, reducing the appearance of facial wrinkles. https://www.truthinaging.com/review/green-its-the-new-red

Thermal heat
Heat Therapy effectively helps to increase blood circulation without putting strain on your heart and increases the levels of oxygen and white blood cells in your blood. It also stimulates the production of collagen (a building block for human tissue) in your body. It can be used as a beauty treatment as well. It reduces the appearance of crow’s feet, fine lines, and wrinkles. In addition to helping heal scars, wounds, and cuts, it also smoothes your skin’s texture, lessens coarseness, and reduces pore size. https://www.activeforever.com
Red light therapy home devices combine red and infrared rays (but no UV rays) to stimulate blood circulation, boost your collagen production and enhance the natural ability of your skin to heal.
The heat and light boost circulation, bringing more blood and nutrients to your skin.
It also instigates the release of chemical messengers called cytokines. As more cytokines are released, collagen-producing cells called fibroblasts leap into action.
If healing is required, then the skin will heal (which makes this an effective scar-removal method too); if it is already healthy, you will get a plumping effect from the extra collagen created.
This is backed by more than a few studies, and gaining more and more popularity each year, since it’s completely non invasive, side-effect-free natural way to increase collagen in the skin.
